Update Main Client
This field enables the details entered in the dispatch address field to update the main client record

E.g. If the Dispatch Method is Email and an email address is entered in the Dispatch Address, by selecting Work Email in this field the Work Email field on the Edit Client Details dialog will be updated to the email address entered in the Dispatch Address
Dispatch Method

This is the means by which a communication is to be dispatched

The options are Email, Fax and Print

Note:
  1. Where a client has no contact point, the communication will always be set to print, so a contact point is not required
  2. Print should be used when a client has previously had email communications, and has advised that they do not want further email communication
Dispatch Address

When a communication is created for a client, this is the dispatch address to be used.

If the communications for this client are to be sent to more than one email address, multiple addresses can be entered.  The addresses must be separated by a semi colon or a comma.
  1. If separated by a semi colon the first address will be put into the ‘To’ section of the email and the subsequent addresses will be put into the ‘CC’ section of the email.
  2. If separated by a comma all addresses will be put in the ‘To’ section of the email.
Sensitivity
Normally General

See section below for further details
Preferred Contact Point
MUST be checked on for at least one contact point

Rules for Setup of General / Confidential Sensitivity

During Communication Type setup, a communication sensitivity is selected.

This allows for different Communications to be sent to different email addresses for a single client.

For Example, a car dealer receives daily remittance advices for new loans, but also receives a monthly commission advice. A general contact point can be set up for the daily remittances and a confidential contact point set up for the commission advice.

Communication Type Sensitivity = General

Dispatched to General Contact Point

If no General contact point is found, then the Confidential Contact Point will be used

Communication Type Sensitivity = Confidential

Dispatched to Confidential Contact Point

If no Confidential contact point is found, then Communication is set to ‘Print
