Lease Maintenance Types Details

Purpose

These are used to identify the Types of Maintenance that can be applied to either a Lease Asset or Lease Account

These are not required to be set up if actual Maintenance is not being tracked against budget, or if Leases are Non-Maintained

Access

1. Lease | Edit/View Maintenance Types
2. [F2] in the Maintenance Types field in the  dialog

Details Specific Fields

Field	Explanation
Code	Enter a meaningful Code for this Type of Maintenance
Description	Enter a Description for this Type of Maintenance
GL Code	[F2] to highlight and  the GL Code this Maintenance Type will post to If the Maintenance Category is set to Lease, the GL Code will be the same as the one set up on the Account Type item GL – B/S Mtce ACTUAL Expense If the Maintenance Category is set to Asset, the GL Code will normally be an expense GL Code and will not post the same GL Code as the Lease Category
Maintenance Category	Lease – Maintenance Types associated with this Category are appropriate to the Lease Account. They will be generic types that can be applied to all Lease Assets on an account. They will generally include Maintenance items that are paid for as part of the Lease Finance. Asset – Maintenance Types associated with this Category are appropriate to the Lease Asset. They will be specific to the assets themselves. They will generally be Maintenance items that are over and above those included in the finance of the Asset. They are usually extra Maintenance charges that can be added to the Lease and recovered from the Lessee. The amounts associated with each Maintenance Category are displayed separately on the Lease Asset dialog: Asset Mtce = Asset Maintenance Category display Actual Mtce = Lease Maintenance Category Total display
GST on Instalment Maintenance	Only required when the Lease Maintenance will be posted to a payable account as part of the instalment posting process [F2] to  the required GST rate and type
