Transfer Transaction to Another Account
Purpose
Allows
a Transaction that has been posted from the Cashbook to be transferred to
another account within the same module
Note: If the Accounts are
different modules, or the Transaction did not come from the Cashbook you should use the Transfer Non Cash function
The most common uses for

are:
- Where cash has been coded to the incorrect
account
- Where cash was loaded to a module suspense
account
- Where a single cash payment should be split
across 2 or more accounts
Timing
Transfer can be used at any time

- From within an Account Details dialog |

Process
A dialog similar to the below will be presented:
Field | Explanation |
Account | [F2] to lookup the account that the funds are to be transferred to |
From Description | Append the 'TO Account' the code of the account the amount will be transferred to |
To Description | Prepopulated
Can be deleted and a new description entered |
Amount | This is prepopulated with the full transaction amount
The transaction amount will have a leading minus if the transaction is a credit
This may be changed to a lesser amount, if only part of the cash amount is to be transferred
Ensure the sign is the same as the original transaction
The resulting transaction will post to the original account with the opposite sign |
Transfers of the full transaction amount should then be Grouped
