Standard Function Buttons

Purpose

This document explains the use of the common function [buttons] that are found within Vault.

Buttons

Explanation

Accesses the Account Details for the selected Account

Opens the appropriate ADD details dialog, so a new record may be added

Details should be completed and the new record saved

Displays the Audit Dialog, allowing the viewing or printing of audit records

Cancels the report or process that is being undertaken, and returns to the main menu

This allows the cancellation of changes made to the dialog

If any changes have been made, a prompt is displayed:

Clicking  will close the message and allow the changes to be saved


 will close the dialog and changes will not be saved

Clears out all of the fields in the Search Criteria and sets them back to the default state

Closes the Browse
or

Creates a Communication or Letter for the selected record(s)

The letter can then by reviewed or printed in the Communications Browse

Creates and Prints the Communication(s) or Letter(s) to the Default Printer

Note: If Dispatch Centre is used, the Communications will not be printed, and will be available for Dispatch by email

Allows the deletion of records

Confirmation of the deletion is required

E.g.

Click  to return to the browse without deleting the record

 will delete the record

If the record to be deleted is used elsewhere in the system, a message similar to the below will be displayed:

Instead the record should be made inactive, so it no longer appears for selection in the browse


Allows a record to be edited

The required details should be updated and the dialog saved

Accesses the lending accounts Enquiry Dialog to assist with credit control

Used to export the Browse Results Grid to a CSV file

The below dialog will be displayed:

Browse for the required Folder, and enter the Filename

 to export the grid

Closes a process wizard. Usually only available on the final dialog

Moves to the next dialog of a process wizard

Where a sub record is being added,  will be presented instead of save

The main record then also needs to be saved

Presets the dialog

Used on Report dialogs

Will run the report based on the entered parameters
or

Clicking on these buttons will validate the data entered before the record is saved

If there are validation errors:

  1. The errors will be displayed
  2. The record will not be saved
  3. The dialog will remain open for correction to the errors

If there are no validation errors:

  1. The record will be saved
  2. If  is used, the record will also be closed
  3. If   is used, the record will remain open

Searches the records according to the criteria entered

Allows the setting of user access security for some browses

Only available when accessed from a lookup

Closes the browse and returns the record selected in the results grid to the lookup field
