Run a Batch Process

Purpose

Initiate all processes included in the selected batch

Timing

Whenever is logical for the batch set up – daily for process/reports, monthly for month end processes/reports

Access

  1. Batch Processing | Edit/View Batch Processing

Process

Validate the Batch Process

The Batch Process Browse will be presented:


Prior to the initiation of the batch process, click on the required batch to select and then 

If the below message appears:


Click 

The Batch Process may now be initiated

If the batch contains validation errors, these must be investigated and resolved, before the batch can be initiated.

Where there are errors, the  process will present a dialog similar to the below:

Highlight the required batch:



 to initiate the batch

A Progress Bar will display as the batch task is executed:


Once the batch is completed:


 to confirm that all the processes were completed as expected:


Note: If the above dialog is closed in error, the log can be viewed through the menu item: Control |View Batch Log File

Navigate to C: \ Users \ {your windows login} \ AppData \ Local \ Temp

The file will be an ‘XML Document’ and will be named in the convention of

{Batch Name}_xxxxxxxx.xxxx.xml

Batch Log Report


The Header Status shows the overall status of the batch task (Completed / Failed)

Failure of a batch task to be completed will be shown on the status of the individual report as ‘Failed’, accompanied by an error message that will assist in identifying the issue.
