Batch Task Details

Batch Task Details

Purpose

Batch processing relies on most tasks (End of Month rollovers are the exception), having available public [Preset]s that specify the task parameters, and for reports, the output option.

Note:
Report output option presets will require that the file location and a file name is nominated. The [Preset] set up will verify that the file location is valid.  It is recommended that the file name date functionality is used to derive the file name.  This will ensure each file name is unique and so does not overwrite a file created previously.  The file location specified can be a location specific to each report/export user.  If more than one user requires the same report, then it can be set up in the batch process for each user and the file location specified be the one used by a user.

Once all required tasks have had the  created, the batch process can be set up.
