Bailment Dealer Details - Credit Facility Tab

Purpose

The Credit Facility tab presents a list of existing facilities and shows the Dealers’ Credit Limit, Utilised Credit, Releases and Available Credit for each Distributor.

Dialog Details


The initial presentation is a list of Credit Facilities by Distributor

Permanent and Temporary Credit Limits may be added, edited, revoked or deleted

By default the detail of the Credit Limit for each Distributor is hidden and the Show Active Limits Only flag is checked on

Details Specific Function Buttons

The following dialog will be presented:



Field
Explanation
Distributor
[F2] to highlight and  the appropriate Distributor

A new Distributor can be added if required
Limit Amount
Enter the amount of the permanent limit

A warning will display if the total of the limits exceeds the Primary Facility Limit

If this is accepted, it will be necessary to increase the Primary Facility Limit for the Bailment Dealer record to be saved
Effective From
Display field only

It will be the date and time of when this record is created
Expiry Date
An expiry date may be entered and the Permanent Limit still edited up until the date of expiry

Once the expiry date has passed the Permanent Limit will be set to zero, and the facility may become over utilised

Once expired, the Permanent Limit may not be edited

If a Permanent Limit is to be expired at any time up to an expiry date (even if there is no expiry date, the [Revoke Limit] functionality should be used
Notes
Complete the notes field with any details that are specific to the setting of the Permanent Credit Limit

A warning will display if the total of the limits exceeds the Primary Facility Limit

If this is accepted, it will be necessary to increase the Primary Facility Limit for the Bailment Dealer record to be saved
Effective From
Display field only

It will be the date and time of when this record was created
Expiry Date
Enter the date that the Temporary Limit is to expire on
Notes
Complete the Notes field with any details that are specific to the setting of a temporary limit of which a user should be immediately aware


Allows access to the highlighted limit so it may be altered

Both Permanent and Temporary Limits may be revoked

The purpose of revoking a limit is to make the limit inactive and set its value to zero

The following message will display:



The process of revoking a limit makes it inactive

When a permanent limit is revoked the expiry date is set

Revoked limits can still be displayed by checking off the Show Active Limits Only tick box

On revoking a Credit Limit, the following fields will be updated on the Credit Management dialog:
  1. Permanent – if a Permanent Limit was revoked
  2. Temporary – if a Temporary Limit was revoked
  3. Total Allocated
  4. Unallocated Facility
The record status will have changed to Modified so the deletion will not update the database until the Bailment Dealer is saved

This process will permanently delete a Credit Limit from the system

It can be used to get rid of limits that have been revoked, and are no longer necessary

Highlight the credit limit item to be deleted and  

The following prompt will display:


[Yes] to delete the limit

It is possible to delete a limit that is still active

The Permanent, Temporary, Total Allocated and Unallocated Facility will all be updated to reflect the value of the credit limit that has been deleted

The record status will have changed to Modified so the deletion will not update the database until the Bailment Dealer is saved
