Manage Dealer or Insurer Account Transactions

Purpose

Full or Partial amounts may be held from payment to a Dealer or Insurer using the  function

Timing

Amounts must be held prior to the Dealer Payout Process or Insurer Payout Process being run

Access

Dealer or Insurer Accounts Only

Process

The below dialog will be presented


Field
Explanation
Hold Amount
Enter the Amount that is to be Held from payment

This may be the full amount, or a partial amount, and should be entered with the same sign as the original transaction
Reason
Enter a Reason for holding the payment


Held amounts and reasons can be reported from the Dealer Payout Process and the Insurer Payout Process. The amount held also displays in the 'AmtHeld' column of the Account Transaction Browse results



If the Hold Amount entered is greater than the original transaction amount a message will display.

 to proceed and enter a correct amount

To release the Held Amount for payment the above process should be followed. On access to the dialog, the previously entered Held Amount will be displayed. This should be changed to 0.00 and the dialog saved.

In the above example, when the payout process has been completed, -$2.77 would display in the 'AmtPaid' column.
