Purpose
There are two main uses for Client Credit
Details.
The first use is to record the credit rating
of a client so a decision can be easily made in the future when a client
reapplies for finance. Credit rating
codes can be maintained manually.
Once a contract has completed in a Lending
module credit details may be automatically updated. If the client has received no overdue letters
over the term of the contract, they will have a good credit rating. If the client has received a number of
overdue letters or a repossession letter, the credit rating will be bad.
Dates can be recorded for the review of
credit details.
The second use is for the reporting of new
customers for AML/CFT compliance. Using the Date Joined allows for the entered
date of the new customer. The date may be updated for returning customers.
When using this date for AML/CFT compliance
only,

the credit code as NU: not used.
