Purpose

The Account Source Code is used to identify accounts by a user defined code. Often used to identify the origination point of the account.

Examples:
  1. Broker associated with the Account
  2. Staff members who are paid commission for introducing new accounts
  3. The use of Source Codes are specific to your company

Timing

Setup of new Source Codes or alterations to existing codes can be completed at any time

Access

  1. Accounts | Edit/View Account Source Details
  2. Lookup field on Browse, Account and Report dialogs relevant to these codes
