General Ledger Control Details
Purpose
Allows the setup and display of the General Ledger month end
and year end dates. There is no concept of a year end process in the system.
When the month end and year end dates are the same, the system performs a year
end (clears all P&L balances to Retained Earnings).

Details Specific Fields
Field | Explanation |
Month Ending | This is the month ending date of the module Initially this will be an open field so that the starting month end date can be entered After the first month end this field will be disabled and will then be updated each time a month end process is run |
Year Ending | This is the year ending date of the module Initially this will be an open field so that the starting year end date can be entered After the first year end this field will be disabled and will then be updated each time a year end process is run |
General Ledger Code - Suspense | The GL Code that represents the Suspense Account If a transaction is created anywhere in Argos Vault with no associated GL Codes, it will post to the GL Code specified here This is an exceptionally rare occurance |
