Accounts

An issue has been fixed where access to the [Enquiry] dialog was causing the system to not respond.

An issue has been fixed on the Account Exposure Report. When entering a client into the lookup field they system was producing a crash message, this is no longer occurring.

The Account | Print Direct Debit Report can now be printed in Dealer order.

The Account | Print Account Liquidity Report has been enhanced to enable you to print this by all companies or an individual company. If the Company field I blank, all companies will be reported on. If you select a Company into this field, only that company will be reported on. This is no longer a mandatory field.

Bailment

Overdue Letter Process – An issue has been fixed when the overdue letter process is run from bailment, communication replacement fields are created for each dealers' overdue accounts.

For curtailment accounts, replacement fields were creating twice - one with an account number and one without
This has been corrected to display only be one line per account. 
The total is calculating correctly.

There are instances where orders should be referred that were originally missed:

  1. If value of invoice will exceed distributor limit – refer
  2. If Dealer Primary Limit is exceeded - refer

This issue only relates to when the Dealer is part of an amalgamated group and has allow group limit checked on.
A new rule has been introduced that checks - Order may be within credit limits of the dealer groups then do a further check whether the dealer on order was also part of available credits (or has the credit available ).

Other rules still operate:
if dealer with amalgamated client does have credit, order will go straight to approval.
if dealer is suspended, order will be referred
if dealer has insufficient credit, order will be referred.

An issue when running the Bailment Account Status report with the parameters of Credit Balances (Current), Future Zero, Print non zero suspense accounts has been resolved.

Corrected an issue where transfer notes were not being populated on the dealer transferee bailment asset account

The ANZ Australia bank file format has changed. A new column has been included in the file layout at the second column named Statement Date.

The Statement search field has been removed from the Cashbook Statement Browse dialog.

A new tick box has been added to the dialog to show suspended cashbook batches only.

To make a cashbook batch suspended you need to tick the box on the Statement Transaction batch

The suspend cashbook flag checks the suspend Cashbook batch flag and reports on that. If flag is checked on = display, if flag is checked off = don’t display

We have implemented the ability for Post to Other System to be invoked for a single transaction from within a Cashbook Statement Batch.

A [Post] button has been added to the Statement Transaction dialog. To use the function, highlight the transaction you which to post and click the button. A message will display advised “The Transaction has been posted”.

The Batch cannot have the Suspended cashbook flag checked on for this process to work.

We have implemented the ability to print an Account Summary from the Statement Transaction dialog for any posted transaction. 

If the transaction is unposted, then a message will display "Transaction must be posted prior to printing the account summary."

We now support the import of banking files from both Westpac Deskbank and Westpac Corporate Online.

The function around Deskbank has not changed. 

Westpac Corporate Online have imposed a requirement that there is a batch number appended to the date field where those customers have multiple bank accounts.

An issue has been reported where the system was allowing you to enter a duplicate client tag, however the system would then crash. This has now been resolved, if a duplicate tag is entered you now get an error message advising the Tags must be unique.

Client Detail Report Export – Export Report Data. This has been enhanced to include the Business Number held in the SegReg dialog.

Accessing the dialog from this button will allow up to 10 joint clients to be associated with a single client.  This relationship will be required where an investment is in the name of a joint party, but details of all the individuals associated with that joint client are required fro IRD filing purposes.

Tax Number for New Zealand will now accept 000-000-000 as a valid tax number for clients who have not disclosed there IRD number.  The tax rate associated with this tax number must be 47%.

Client search functionality has been improved to allow for easier searching of a client name where the names are separated by a space.  For example, entering TE A in the name search field will return all clients with Te A in their name.

We have re-written the Send SMS features within Argos. There is now the option to send and receive messages from a client or lending account with either Vodafone or Spark. 

Messages can be up to 459 characters in length (Vodafone), 480 characters in length (Spark). A Communication will be created on sending and receiving of the SMS and will be stored against the client or account.

When creating a Payout from the Quote Module a new communication replacement field table is created. 

On your master communication the table must be set up as follows:

Changes have been made to the Movement Analysis Report to exclude Early Matured Deposits.

Two new lines have been added:

  • Early Maturing Deposits - amount will be the total of all cashbook transactions created with a cashbook Reference = Investment, where the account has the Early Maturity Flag checked on 
  • Early Maturing Interest - amount will be the total of all cashbook transactions created with a cashbook Reference = Interest, where the account has the Early Maturity Flag checked on 
  • Add the amount of the RWT deducted from the early maturity to the RWT deducted amount on the report.  It will be necessary to refer back to the account where the account has the Early Maturity Flag checked on identify this amount as being the RWT deducted on the same value date as the interest and investment transactions.

A new check box has been added to the Deposit Details dialog called Early Matured.

When the Early Maturity Process is undertaken, the process will ‘check’ on the Early Matured checkbox on the deposit account.

Fixed Loan

D2014

Corrected an issue on the Enquiry dialog where a loan being direct debited had the next DD date displayed, but the DD amount was shown as 0.00.  The correct DD Amount now also displays.

The Next DD date and DD amount will only display if there is a bank account listed on the Direct Debit screen or against the Client.

The [Close] button functionality on a Fixed Loan has been enhanced.  The button is now used to close a fixed loan account when no instalments have posted.  This is normally when the account has been set up incorrectly, or a borrower has changed their mind.

When the button is clicked the user will be prompted for a Fixed Loan - Thank You Letter and a Termination Reason.  Once these have been completed the following will take place:

  • All Cost Items will be set to zero and their principal ledger transactions reversed
  • The instalment schedule will be deleted the account will have a close date of today and be made inactive.

A new Communication replacement field has been created to display the balloon payment on a Fixed loan account. This will be the final instalment on the fixed loan as per the Finance dialog.

  • Future Bal is now Receivable Bal
  • Current Bal is now Arrears Bal
  • Accrued Interest is now Default Accr Int
  • A new field has been added called Accrued Interest, this is the accrued interest on the Receivable Balance
  • Payoff Amount and Total Arrears have been removed
  • The [EXT DOCS] button has been removed

The Fixed Loan Details dialog has been updated as follows:

  • Interest Profile is now Default Int Prfl
  • A new Interest Profile field is displaying called Principal Int Prfl. This is populated when the Fixed Loan Account Type is set to Future Ledger Interest. When a Principal Int Prfl is added to a Fixed Loan Account, an interest rate transaction will post to the future ledger value dated the open date of the account.
    Future Bal is now Receivable Bal
  • Current Bal is now Arrears Bal
  • Accrued Interest is now Default Accr Int
  • A new field has been added called Accrued Interest, this is the accrued interest on the Receivable Balance
  • FIN/APR Rate no longer displays for Future Ledger Interest Account Type

The Fixed Loan Details Dialog – Interest has been updated as follows:

  • Current Ledger is now called Arrears Ledger
  • A new section has been added under the Arrears Ledger called Principal Ledger
  • When the Account Type is Future Ledger Interest, the Interest Action will default to Reinvest and will be disabled. This cannot be changed.

The Fixed Loan Account Type dialog has been tidied up and now displays the NPV calculation functions for Early Terminations.

The following fields have been removed:

  • Investors Unrealised Interest BS
  • Investors Interest Expense
  • Investor Sale Value
  • Investor Sale Cost
  • Investor Instalment Due
  • Investor Principal
  • Investor Interest

The NPV fields will display only is the Account Types is set to Future Ledger Interest.

The fields are:

  • NPV Discount Trans Type – The transaction type must have a Input Method or Control.
  • Default NPV Rate – Enter a value up to 2 decimal places. May not exceed 99.99

A new Communication replacement field has been created to advise of a Balloon Payment on a Fixed Loan. It calculated as the Last Instalment Amount + Arrears Balance.

When running the Review and Create Overdue Letter process or create an arrears letter from the [LETTER] button on a Fixed Loan you can now have the Fixed Loan schedule communication replacement field display on your letters.

Currently, the lease Schedule report assumes all leases are in advance.  Now we have implemented the First payment flag we can now print the schedule to reflect this.

Rules:

The lease schedule report now looks at the First Payment flag on the lease account to determine the spread of the instalments. 

If the flag = Advance, and the lease account type Unearned Interest option = Actuarial, the first instalment will be for the full instalment amount based on the start date of the account.  All subsequent instalments will be a split between principal and interest

If the flag = Advance, and the lease account type Unearned Interest option = No Deferral, the first instalment will be for the instalment amount based on the start date of the account.  All subsequent instalments will be the instalment amount.  If the [Schedule] option Print Interest is checked on (IFRS16 requirement) the first instalment will be for the full instalment amount and all subsequent instalments split between principal and interest.

If the flag = Arrears, and the lease account type Unearned Interest option = Actuarial, the first instalment and subsequent instalments will be a split between principal and interest

If the flag = Arrears, and the lease account type Unearned Interest option = No Deferral, the first instalment and subsequent instalments will be the instalment amount.  If the [Schedule] option Print Interest is checked on (IFRS16 requirement) all instalments will be split between principal and interest.

Note that the functionality for the GST and Extras columns remains the same.

Quote

An issue has been fixed on the Quote Profile. When undertaking a quote, if the Quote Profile is linked to an account type where the system is lease, the [Payouts] button should be disabled.

The [Payouts] button should only be enabled if the lending system is Fixed Loan or Variable Loan.

A new button has been introduced to the Quote Details dialog - [Payouts].  Clicking on this will allow the user to disburse payout amounts to any number of third parties.  

The third party details may be entered at the time, or selected from the client browse if a regular Payee.  The total of the disbursements must agree to the loan total to be paid out.  

Accounts to be paid may be added to a single DC batch which accumulates entries during the day, to be posted at day end, or to a separate batch if the payout is to happen immediately.  Refer to the help documentation on this functionality for further detail.

An issue has been corrected where Payable Payment Terms were not being referenced when paying Bailment Creditors.  All invoices were shown a due on the final day of the month.  When a Payables invoice is created from the bailment account, the payment terms are now referenced, and the due date created accordingly.

MBIE have deprecated the Person Acting On Behalf member of the debtor organisation search type. This search function has been removed from the Search Security Registry

A manual discharge button has been added to the Debtor portion of a financing statement. 

Variable Loan

An issue has been fixed where Group Transactions were displaying on a Variable Loan Statement incorrectly. These are now no longer displaying.
