Module Spotlight | May 2026
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Batch Processing is a powerful module within Vault that gives your business a centralised way to automate your daily and month-end routines — replacing manual checklists with a single, reliable process that runs consistently every time.
Whether your business needs to run posting routines, generate reports, export data, or perform month-end rollovers, Batch Processing lets you chain all of these tasks together and execute them in one go. Instead of staff working through the same steps manually day after day, Batch Processing handles the volume — and keeps a complete log of everything it runs.
Batch Processing and the Argos Server are included as a core module within Argos Vault from your 2026 license.

KEY FEATURES
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
⚡ Automate Your Daily and Month-End Routines
Replace repetitive manual steps with a single automated process. Batch Processing can run posting routines, print and export reports, perform rollovers, and more — all in sequence, without staff needing to monitor each step.
👥 Any Staff Member Can Run It
Because the process is pre-configured, any staff member can execute the batch with a single click — no specialist knowledge required. This means a smooth, consistent result every time, regardless of who is running it.
🕐 Run Overnight with the Argos Server
Pair Batch Processing with the Argos Server and your processes can run automatically at a scheduled time — including overnight. By the time your team arrives in the morning, reports are already generated and exports are complete, so the day can start productively.
📋 Nothing Gets Missed
Because every step in the batch is defined and every run is logged, there is no risk of a step being forgotten or skipped. This is especially valuable during busy periods like month-end, or when a less experienced staff member is covering for your usual processor.
🔗 Works Seamlessly with the Dispatch Centre
Pair Batch Processing with the Dispatch Centre for a fully automated end-to-end workflow. Your batch can run reports, post transactions, and trigger the Dispatch Centre to queue communications — all without manual intervention, even overnight.
🖨️ Print and Save to Your Desired Location
Batch processes can be configured to print reports directly to a designated printer or save exports to a specified file location automatically — no manual intervention needed at the point of output.

HOW BATCH PROCESSING WORKS
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
The batch is configured
A sequence of tasks is set up in Vault — for example, run posting routines, then generate reports, then export data, then perform a rollover. Each step is defined once and reused every time the batch runs.
The batch is triggered
The batch can be started manually by any staff member with a single click, or scheduled to run automatically at a set time via the Argos Server.
Each step runs in sequence
Vault works through each task in the defined order. Reports are generated, exports are saved, and print jobs are sent to the configured output — all without requiring staff to manage each step individually.
Everything is logged
A record of every batch run is saved in Vault, including the date, time, and outcome of each step. If something needs to be reviewed, the log provides a clear audit trail of what ran and when.
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
RUNNING MANUALLY OR ON A SCHEDULE
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Batch Processing can be run in two ways, giving you flexibility to suit your business processes:
⚡ Run Manually
A staff member opens the batch and runs it on demand. Full control, one click — ideal for situations where you want oversight before processes execute, or for ad hoc runs outside of your usual schedule.
🕐 Run Scheduled (via Argos Server)
The Argos Server can be configured to trigger your batch automatically at a set time — including overnight. This is particularly powerful for month-end and daily routines, where having everything processed and ready before staff arrive saves significant time at the start of the day.
────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Note: Scheduled Batch Processing requires the Argos Server to be installed and configured in your environment. The Argos Server is included in your 2026 Vault license. Contact us if you'd like assistance getting it set up.

COMMON BATCH PROCESS EXAMPLES
────────────────────────────────────────────────────
💡 Month End Process
Run posting routines → print & export reports → perform month-end rollover
A finance team configures a month-end batch to run overnight via the Argos Server. By the time staff arrive, all posting routines have completed, month-end reports have been generated and saved, and the rollover is done — ready for review at the start of the day with no manual steps required.
💡 Daily Process
Run posting routines → export daily reports → post to General Ledger for a real-time view
A business configures a daily batch to run each morning before staff arrive. Posting routines complete, daily reports are exported to the shared drive, and the General Ledger is updated — giving the team a real-time view of the business the moment they open Vault.
💡 Combined with the Dispatch Centre
Run posting routines → generate statements → queue for email and print dispatch
Pair Batch Processing with the Dispatch Centre to streamline your communications workflow. Statements are generated overnight via Batch Processing, and physical copies are routed to the print queue — all before the working day begins. Note that while the Batch Process handles the generation and queuing of statements, the sending of email communications still requires a staff member to initiate. With everything already prepared and queued, however, this is a quick and simple step at the start of the day.
